As part of CFRW, Northern Division takes a pro-active role in supporting CFRW's positions for and against legislation. CFRW Issue Chairs research bills and then advise the CFRW Board of Directors. Along with the recommendations of the Legislative Advocate, CFRW takes positions on various Assembly and Senate bills. Federation members have the opportunity to actively lobby legislators on some of these bills at our annual Advocacy Day on May 5, 2009.
Northern Division also encourages its members to participate in other political ways. Clubs work year-round registering voters, volunteering on campaigns, and hosting luncheon speakers to educate their members. We also work to get our women elected to non-partisan and partisan offices where they can directly impact legislation.
Federated women also support our local, state, and federal leaders. Many of our clubs' members also belong to their county parties, volunteer at CRP conventions, and are Team Leaders for President Bush.
Republican women are leading the way!
